QUEENSLAND KENDO CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026
Queensland Kendo Renmei is proud to host the 2026 Queensland Kendo Championships on Saturday 10 October 2026.
The Championships are open to all current QKR members.
Date: Saturday 10 October 2026.
Event Venue: Mt Gravatt State High School, 10 Creighton St, Mount Gravatt QLD 4122. Parking available onsite.
Events to be contested (TBC):
- Men’s Kyu Individuals
- Men’s Dan Individuals (Shigeoka Memorial Cup event).
- Women’s Kyu Individuals
- Women’s Dan Individuals (Shigeoka Memorial Cup event).
- Juniors event.
- Kata
- Clubs Teams event.
NOTE: The schedule and events being offered are subject to change depending on registrations.
We are also looking for volunteers to assist with Shinpan (refereeing) and Kakari-in (court assistants).
Proposed Schedule (approximate):
- Doors Open: 6:30 Venue access and set up
- Doors Closed: 18:30
You must be a current QKR member to compete or volunteer.
Cost: Competitors $35, Volunteers and Shinpan -free.
Lunches:
BYO or buy locally.

Draws and final information will be sent competitors in the week prior to the competition.
