Congratulations to the following QKR members for being awarded Shogo titles in AJKF’s 2025 autumn round:
- Ken Okamoto – Kendo Kyoshi
- Thomas Johnson – Jodo Renshi
Shogō (称号), which translates to “title” or “rank”, refers to the official honorary instructor titles awarded to advanced practitioners in Japanese martial arts like kendo, iaido, and jodo. It evaluates a practitioner’s character, teaching ability, and overall contribution to the martial art.
